What is Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM?
Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM is a unique new product developed to control wildlife damage to plants of all types. It is made in the USA from all natural ingredients. It includes shellfish by-products that have been sterilized by cooking. It also contains grains that have been certified organic. The added corn oil is food grade.
What types of animals does it work on?
It works best on deer, elk, rabbits, hares, and some burrowing rodents.
New Test on Slugs... Preliminary tests indicate that native slugs and imported slugs are repelled from favorite garden plants by Seadust Wildlife Controllant. Follow-up testing on slugs is starting. Effectively repelling slugs may be an important benefit from applying Seadust.
Is Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM safe to use?
Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM contains all natural ingredients. It is non-toxic, biodegradable, and is not harmful to animals or the environment when used as directed. It is exempt from EPA Pesticide registration.
How do I put it on my plants?
Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM is simple to use! No special mixing...it's ready to use. The plant's foliage must be wet, so either a sprayer with water, a garden hose, the morning dew, or after the rain has stopped will prepare the plant. Then, simply sprinkle a light coating of Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM from the supplied shaker bottle on the part of the plant that needs to be protected (usually, but not limited to, the plant's new growth). The shaker bottles can be refilled from bulk containers.
When do I need to apply Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM?
Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM may be used all year. During the Winter months when the animals are looking for something to eat, and during the Spring months when the plants' new growth appears, is when you want to make sure Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM is protecting your plants.
How much Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM should I use, and where should I put it?
Usually a light coating on part of the surface of the outer leaves is adequate for protection.
Is Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM safe to use on vegetable gardens or fruit trees and berry plants?
Yes. Use Low-Adhesive Formulation Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM for short term use on edible plants. Treat the other and top leaves of fruit trees and most other plants.
How many plants will it treat?
One pound of Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM is usually enough to treat from 150 to 250 tree seedlings.
How does Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM stick to the leaves?
A cellulose based adhesive forms a film on the wet foliage and elongating foliage. New foliage must be treated.
Will Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM work against elk?
In addition to treating foliage, treat the tops of plastic mesh (Vexar) seedling protectors and the bamboo supports. If your elk problems are severe, apply Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM Pre-treated Vexar or Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM Clip-Ons to terminals of tubes and or bamboo.
How do I use Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM Pre-treated Tape?
Pre-treated Seadust Wildlife ControllantTM Tape can be applied to outer stems and terminals to add long-term protection to treated plants by providing recognition of treated plants.
